Good thing they caught it.
Trauma and long haul flights can be contributing factors. Not sure if teams have specific protocols in place to reduce incidences of blood clots. Thomas Fleischmann had this a couple of years back and is okay now. See Freudian's mention above.
All the best for a speedy recovery.
Yep. The good thing is that it's in his leg and not his lung, like Fleischmann. The diagnostics are so sensitive for clots nowadays, that sometimes they find little ones (eg, in the calf) that may not even require standard blood clot treatment (anti-coagulation). So, there is a chance Postma may make it back within a few weeks, but 3-6 months is more likely.

No d-men down here is anything close to NHL calibre. We have precious few AHL calibre defensemen. Please call up Will O'Neill, Please!!:naughty:

Has more turnovers than the Pillsbury company.

Hope Paul gets well soon.

This reminds me of why Zinger said you need 8 NHL caliber D men on your roster. Postma had started rounding into form over the past 3 or 4 games as well. Hope he is going to be ok.

damn, get excited for Redmond to fix the IceCaps D and now looks like he will be out of here again. ****, well all the best to Postma, him and Meech were very solid for us down here. We could really use em back
