Him and Hakstol were fine after Babcock was canned and he was actually allowed to do his job running the offense / powerplay.

Hakstol yes, but the Leafs PP was still only 29th in high danger chances/60 once Keefe took over. They just got really good shooting luck, but were really awful at generating good chances. They also gave up a lot to the other team

2nd best in the league, and 2nd best this year too once Babcock was gone.
How people find him unimpressive is beyond me.

His son AJ is with the Marlies, good Antigonish boy.
Don't be surprised if he is promoted.
Zero chance they bring a guy like Boudreau in.
I believe that’s the MacLean he’s referring to.
AJ has been Keefe’s right hand man since the Soo.
It’s been a forgone conclusion that he’d be with Keefe next year.
As for Boudreau. Maybe if he doesn’t get HC offers, he’d be willing to come in. But I’m pretty certain Dubas will allow Keefe to hire his staff, so that will come down to Keefe

I am not really impressed with MacLean. He is a nice guy, but he is a downgrade on MacFarland and has no NHL experience. The Marlies power play always ran hot and cold under him and would mostly just run on luck, which is not a good thing when you consider they had some of the most talented PP guys in the league.
Really the only thing that he has is familiarity with Keefe. Otherwise, I think you can find better out there.

Assume he meant Paul, AJ's dad who coached the Sens.
Not a chance they bring in a guy who will be looked at as the next Coach. First sign of trouble and everyone will be looking for Boudreau to take over.
I mean, they brought in Hakstol last off-season. So I wouldn’t rule it out based on that.
