Patty's been my favorite player since I had training wheels, first real jersey I ever owned (signed by the "A-line"); he's had some adversity in his career, and he's slowed down in the last couple of years but his longevity and consistency speak for themselves, besides Marty nobody has ever *been* the Devils as much as Elias for me. Couldn't be happier for him.

Imagine if he was scoreless in his next game then got a goal and an assist in the game thereafter: 400 goals, 600 assists and 1000 points all reached in the same game!

He is an all-time great second line role-playing left winger.

Second line? Are you kidding me? He has been a top line quality player his whole career and has put up those types of numbers except for this season.

Definitely agree. He's almost always been good offensively and great at everything else. I've never figured out why people don't give him more air time.
