Maybe the Hawks can include Seabrook and take back a bad contract to make it more enticing for Colorado. If they’re going to give up Makar they should probably get a top 4 defenseman back.

The Avs are never parting with both the Ottawa pick and Makar. I'm not convinced theres a player in this league aside from McDavid that we move both of those pieces for. Especially with our upcoming cap crunch. Potential top pairing Dmen still on his ELC(Makar) or a potential elite Center/Winger still on his ELC is worth a tonne to the Avs right now.

We’re in the same division. We watch the blackhawks. We know that we need to compete BEFORE paying our best players $10m+.

Just because the 1st line is insanely dominant doesn't mean their depth isn't scoring. Quit selling misleading narratives that are just outright false.
