Kane is a beauty but you have to watch their games. Colliton has this team working very hard. A lot of very young players all fighting for spots and buying in. Still lots of talent on the team. Having Dcat returning to form has helped immensely.

You mean its possible for a rebuilding team to buy in, play well, and have a positive and competitive environment for young players? Thats news to red wings fans

Kane's career has been kinda weird. It seems like the first half dozen years of his career or so he was in the constant limelight and one of the most talked about players. Back when the Hawks were the talk of town basically. Last 5-6 years that progressively faded away to the point where you're sometimes surprised to hear his name as in "wait that guy's still around?" and then you look at the stats and see he's actually been pretty damn productive.

Kane leads all NHL players in points when you go 6 seasons back: NHL Stats

Kane has played the best hockey in his career since Toews dropped the ball...

Kane is amazing. It never ceases to amaze me how competitive the guy is.

Would've been an easy season to come in and sleepwalk through the games.. yet it's all positive attitude.

Not to mention his play on the ice.

I'm talking about public attention. The focus seems to have shifted toward other players no matter how many points Kane puts up. Let's face it, being a scorer on a non-contender is only interesting if you're young and up and coming. The Hawks climbed the hill early in Kane's career and then start falling off just as his personal productivity ramped up.

Not true. If you score a lot it's always interesting. It doesn't matter how your team does. When Joe Sakic put up 100 points on a terrible Avalanche team at 37 it was huge! And when Martin St Louis won the Art Ross at 37 it was even huger! Both players missed the playoffs but nobody cared.

The last 5-6 years has been the prime of his career lol

It's been 5 years since he's won the Art Ross. If he won the Art Ross again this year I'm sure he'd get a higher profile again.

Yes, and that's what makes it unusual. His prime did not align well with the contention window of the team he stars for. Probably because the prime performance levels of Duncan Keith, Jonathan Toews and Maria Hossa worked out somewhat differently in timing.
