Kane will never come close to Bobby Hull, can definitely make it interesting vs Brett though.

Kane might not be able to match Hull's 3 straight 70 goal seasons, but I think the rest of his prime has been more consistently elite. Hull has pretty solid longevity but in general I'm comfortable with considering Kane the better player in general.

Brett Hull

His peak production is insane. He also has incredible longevity. It's not impossible that Kane could surpass him with enough longevity and depending on how he ages - but as of now, this is Brett Hull

I feel like a traitor. Brett Hull is one of my all time favorites and among the best goal scorers of all time. He had a rare gift for appearing out of nowhere to suddenly grab a pass and score. Patrick Kane is better at every part of the game except that. Skill, speed, conditioning, hockey sense, defense.... no contest.

Brett had more personality though.

I think people sometimes forget the impact that Oates had on Hull during that 3-year run. Those 2 were a special combo, but Oates wanted to keep re-negotiating for more money. If they stayed together longer, who knows how many goals Hull would've had.

The biggest total gap but ever so slightly behind his dad in terms of percentage over 2nd. 68.75 for Bobby, 68.63 for Brett.
