In years may be an overstatement considering how good he was in the 2nd half in 2016 when he finished either 4th or 5th in the Hart Trophy voting.

He was 4th in Hart voting and Art Ross scoring, 5th in Selke voting and playoff scoring, and named a 2nd team all star in 15-16. This Thornton is fun but he's closer to last year's than he is to the 15-16 Thornton.
