I blew up the Slackberry under declining sales with Toews' leadership. I made big changes during the season and the season was still lost. It was time to cut ties after he was the Slacks' first pick in our inaugural season. Got a younger core now with McDavid at the helm.

I had eyes on non-keepers but the prices were fairly steep for me.
Ultimately I welcomed back an original draft pick in Robby Fabbri, it's a fair trade off for a 2nd round (or a late first round prospect) PP.
As usual, Good Decisions don't make a ton of moves. I'm pretty comfortable with my team's performance this season so I just tried to make some upgrades in areas that I could without breaking the bank.

I just flipped Seabrook, Petry and Anisimov for second rounders. Happy to be able to get rid of them. Loading up for the 2018 draft and expecting a bit of a lost season coming up. My keepers are decent, but I really went all in to salvage this last season, leaving me with really bad main draft picks this year.
About half-way through the year, I realized it was better to be bad for the 2018 draft than the 2017 draft, and given I didn't want to give up on last season while I was leading the division, I decided to pursue this route.

Atkinson was a tough guy to give up. However really hoping the trade off of ~30 goals and ~60 points is made up by ~50 points and more hits from Landy.

Thanks. I also added Stamkos, Lindholm & Elliott just before the deadline, plus all but one of my MD picks are round 15 or higher. Should be a completely new look for my guys next year. Only returning keeper from a year ago is Suter.

I noticed on the 2017 CFHF Fantasy Draft that the 16th OA PP is listed as belonging to the Monsoons, it was traded to The Terrors for Okposo.

I went from having center depth of McDavid, Horvat, scrubs and an injured Zibby to Backstrom, Tavares, Horvat, on fire Zibby and Galchenyuk.
Hopefully this new center depth helps me get back into playoffs this year!
