The Florida Panthers look to be breaking out the their shell after a few key roster moves earlier in the season look to be paying off.

The additions of Jeff Halpern, Janne Laukkanen and Mats Lindgren seem to have sparked this Panthers team to an impressive 3 game undefeated streak. The Panthers have outscored their opponents 12-7, earning 2 wins and a tie against the Hurricanes, Stars and Leafs. Jeff Halpern now has 14 points in 14 games.

In addition, the Panthers have announced a trade with the Minnesota Wild involving some key prospects. The Panthers have acquired forward Matthew Stajan from the Wild in exchange for defenseman Mathew Carle and a mid round pick.

"Stajan is a guy we really really like. We think he can step into our line up next year and contribute to the best of his abilities. We feel he has the potential to be a top 2 line forward on this franchise for years to come and gives us some youth at forward to work with next year when guys like Raffi Torres, Konstantin Koltsov and Brent Burns will be looking to break into the line-up," said GM Brock Otten.

The Panthers now have a day off and look to continue their streak against the very tough St. Louis Blues on Wednesday.
