I guess the good thing is that we already have a playoff spot, Boucher is a good coach when it comes to defensive structure, and I am not positive but it feels like there is less time in the season left this year for us to drop due to the time-frame of our injuries than in the lockout shortened season in 2013.

Man Bingo sucks

Like I said the cupboards are kinda bare.

Calling Varone up could make sense if its a longer term call up...Bailey and Max have put in time ... Boucher likely has some trust in them

Akeson was signed (say mid season) and he only signed a minor league deal. I do not know what the whole scoop is there.

We are gonna BUY someone this week. Maybe two.

This is what is scaring me.

I've been a big believer that we should not be doing a "sell the future" type trade (with Chabot or White) for a guy like Duchene. The reason being that at full strength I still don't think we're 1 piece away from contending.

Now, I wanna make playoffs, but to trade any sort of futures like our 2 big prospects for guys to fill the spots is IMO a terrible idea.

We just don't have many assets to trade. The cupboards are bare in Bingo and even outside of Bingo. I think we could build a nice core with some of our prospects and our younger players.

Selling those pieces to save this season would be a poor choice.

Last time our two best players(Karlsson and Spezza) got hurt the team rallied up and made the playoffs.
If you think about it, Ryan and one of (hopefully) Hoffman/Stone is not that bad compared to.

Correction: Andy also got chicken-stabbed the same year, so we are in pretty good shape compared to 2012/13

I'm on the positive thinking train as well, but it must be considered that the replacements of 2012/2013 were coming off of an AHL championship. We don't exactly have the same minor league depth this time around.

We can hold off on the panic until we actually have some information on exactly what is wrong with Hoff/Stone.

Maybe they will only be out a week. If that's the case, we roll with what we have and hope for the best.

I agree 100%. Jeez, people are overreacting here. They haven't even announced any details on the extent of players' injuries and already people are talking about missing the playoffs. Wow. It's actually funny how fast people on this board throw the towel at the first hint of adversity. Lol

Mackenzie said on the radio he doesn't belive the Hoffman injury is serious, I know he got hurt in Toronto the night before maybe his wrist or shoulder. He wasn't sure about Stone and Wingels.

Giroux supposedly is available... Wonder what it'd take to get him here.
Maybe a hometown boy swap!

It is time to panic man.

Pack it up boys. We are done.

Nolan Patrick here we come.

Trade all the players. Fire everyone. Get a new owner. Build a new arena.

Buy out all the fans and get new ones.

Delete hf boards Sens.

Sign John Scott as the Sens new mascot. In fact, rename the Senators the Ottawa Scottaters.

Bring back Dany Heatley and have him teach all of our players on how to be a ****ing allstar #50in07

What are the chances that Anderson goes on leave again before the end of the season? Or is he back to stay for the remainder of the year?
