Panarin. When the checking gets tighter and goals dry up in the playoffs, you take the guy who can manufacture offense like few others

Stone for me, the difference in offence compared to the defensive and posession game he brings makes him the better player. He makes guys better around him in all ways and is elite in all scenarios. He loves to score and he brings an incredible work eithic to the game.

Stone.

Over the past 3 seasons:

5v5, Stone has 106 points over 186 games for 0.57 PPG 5v5.
All Sit, Stone has 171 points over 186 games for 0.92 PPG.

5v5, Panarin has 140 points over 218 games for 0.64 PPG 5v5
All Sit Panarin has 223 points over 218 games for 1.02 PPG 5v5

So you're basically losing 0.07 PPG 5v5 and 0.10 PPG overall for a guy that is far better defensively, has had tougher deployment on a worse team, and could very likely cost you less AAV.

You are losing all of 6 points 5v5 per season and 8 points total per season for a much more versatile and potentially cheaper player.

Easy choice.

Bread, if for no other reason than he's gonna age a lot better than Stone. But that's what happens when you play that type of style and don't make the NHL until your mid twenties.

This is what I'd be worried about with Stone as well. Not that he's old, but if he's not a great skater in his mid 20s, I'd worry about where he'd be if he lost a step in his early 30s.

That’s kinda irrelevant, neither of these guys were near the same player 3 years ago that they are today.

They're probably my two favorite wingers in the league, would be happy with either one on Boston. I think Panarin would be the more interesting fit on the Bruins though.

This is really close. I think it actually comes down to the rest of your roster. If you need a dynamic offensive player, Panarin. If you need an everything guy with a little less offense, Stone. For the Rangers, I’d take Panarin.

Panarin has a crazy high defensive impact as well...? They're both extremely well-rounded players.

I went Panarin because I think he'd fit better on the Leafs as he plays LW.

Panarin - Matthews - Nylander
Johnsson - Tavares - Marner

Lol.
