I'd argue that up until this most recent season, he was producing as a low-end 1C, not a high-end 2C. Although there's probably not a whole lot of difference between the two.

Not much difference, but I’d say bare minimum a 1C has to put up 60 points. I have a hard time saying 1C with point totals below 60.

He put up 58 the year prior, while missing 10 games. He put up 58 two years ago, while missing 8 games. Pretty safe to say he would have hit 60+ in a full 82 both seasons. The year prior, he put up 58 in 80 games, I believe. So he was right on the fringe of that 60+.

I get that. So you can argue low-end 1C in 15-16, and 16-17.

17-18 2C.

Messed up that whole previous post, confusing my numbers/seasons, so deleted it rather than trying to edit.

So in 15-16, he had 58 in 80gp. In 16-17 he had 58 in 72gp. In 17-18 he had 52 in 74gp.

So in full seasons, odds are he hits the 60+ mark you're looking for to make him a low-end 1C. The only exception being last season, where he'd probably finish very close. He'd have to go 8p in 8gp to finish the season to hit 60, but not unheard of for him to go PPG for stretches.

I was wondering where your post went! Haha

52 points in 74 games rounds up to a 58 point pace in a full 82 games.

The point is he’s right at that high-end 2C/low-end 1C line.

If the Hawks dont re sign Kruger, Kunitz, and Ward ...

That's $9.2mn in cap space for 2019. I'll gladly trade Kruger, Kunitz, and Ward for Panarin.
