Yeah good on Carkner right?

Sure, Carkner was pissed and he took it out on a guy who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It happens all the time in the NHL - and the Sens are so bad - and each of them playing for a job - it'll happen again.

Still don't understand how two guys were suspended for such plays and Lucic only got a fine. Not saying Lucic's was as bad, since it was a lovetap by comparison, but if Eager's deserved 4, Lucic should have got a game or two.

Lucic's punch was in response to a dirty hit. Eager's was unprovoked, other than thte fact that Colby Armstrong is a DB.

That's fair. I gotta agree that Paille was a few inches away multiple times from being knocked out cold.

It was a clean hit by Meyer. I can understand the Bruin's being angry because it was borderline, but most people who've seen it think it was legal.

Once again, I don't think Lucic's was as bad as Eager's, but it's weird that one is worth 4 games, and the other zero. BTW, Eager does claim that he was provoked by some cheap shot by Armstrong.

Campbell really does seem to throw darts when dishing out suspensions.

The game is 6-0, the team is doing poorly, he is pissed. Of course he was wanting to toss a few right hands. I hope Paille is doing ok behind that visor.

Soooooooo lucky the refs didn't let them go after he threw those punches. Pretty sure Paille would be in the morgue this morning.

awesome dude, your enforcer would have beaten a guy with zero career NHL fights, wow you guys are tough........oh and not to mention good:amazed:

not sure, but sounds like someone taking a shot a Paille?

but coming from someone who goes by the name doctor goon.......:handclap:

and if Carkner didnt want to get his ass kicked by someone who was wearing a visor, maybe he should have jumped someone else then?

Lucic was out of Campbell's hands because his kid is on the Bruins.
But, I wouldn't be surprised if your dart theory holds true, and that he's not very good at darts.

Can't really blame Carkner, his team sucks, sometimes he's a healthy scratch on a bad team, their getting blown out in this game and he's sick of getting beat up by Colton Orr so why not go after a much smaller player who has no figthing experience in a 6-0 game to let out some frustration.

That's Ottawa Senator hockey for you.

Is there any good explanation for this? Paille wasn't even looking at Carkner when the fight started. Obviously he wasn't expecting to drop.

Sens fans are talking a lot of smack on Paille, but what were they expecting from a non-fighter who wasn't even engaged when Carkner started throwing?

Scott Walker sucker punch at the end of a game: No suspension

Travis Moen sucker punch in a game: No suspension

There's other incidents before the Lucic one that did not get suspensions and there's probably more if you go back far enough.

Boo hoo hoo. He already took care of your 'fighter', what did you want him to do? And yes...that's Ottawa Senators hockey for you right now. So again, get used to it.

Pretty sure? He definitely would be. Aka Carkners a friggin ***** for going after a kid with ZERO career fights. Ah well, six losses in a row probably got to them, sucks.

Exactly, 6 losses in a row, the season is all but done, our best players either magically suck or are hurt, there's no light at the end of the tunnel and the Bs are destroying us by 6.

It would be like when the Bs blew the 3-0 lead in the playoffs, it hurts and some guys take it more personally than others.

MORAL VICTORY!!! HOORAY!
you sens fans sound like leaf fans all of a sudden, "well at least we have the best fighter (orr) " .

Wow your tough guy went after paille lol, pansy move. And paille, knowing he's not a fighter, knowing he didn't do anything to spark this fight, waited for his opportunity. Carkner isn't going to get any sympathy for getting clocked while being held by the ref, when Carkner was crying to the ref the ref was probably like "wtf is your problem? you just went after freakin daniel paille you dip ****"

I see Paille drop his gloves first, and going at Carkner just as much as Carkner went at him before hand.

Bruins fans really like to whine about this kinda stuff though. My god you guys must think your team is made up of a bunch of nancys. Neil went after Seidenberg! THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!! Carkner went after Paille! CALL THE POLICE!!!!!

Big Bad Bruins....

Carkner went after Paille, and got friggen dropped for his troubles. thats gotta be embarrasing... The 2:38 mark of the slo-mo video does not lie. Carkner was in trouble there and went down.

It's funny, that's exactly what I was getting ready to post. You just beat me to the punch.

This is EXACTLY what Sens fans used to complain about with the Leafs. Can't keep up in the game, so they just start gooning around for no purpose other than to give the fans some red meat.

Sens fans haven't been in this position often. The Leafs, Canes, the Bs - most teams actually - have a lot more practice at it. And, now that you mention it, I think you're right. It's all about moral victories.

I hate the Bruins but I'm glad Paille got those shots in. Carkner was a major league jackass in that exchange.

I agree.

I hate the Bruins more than any team in the league, but Carkner was a major ****** on that play. He got that mad over a bump into the boards? :help:

You're either blind, dumb, or biased. I'm thinking the third.
