Yeah I think that one is light. I don’t see Donato carrying much value. But if the rumors are true that Vancouver is looking to clear Boesers space to sign Tofolli/Markstrom, I could see a trade like that happening if we can take on a year of cap-dump

Lol at them running into cap issues with that squad. I don't think they trade him inter-division, but it'd be great if it would happen.

I would much rather add to Dumba to get Laine than trade Dumba straight up for Ehlers if those are both options.
If my only option with Winnipeg is Dumba+ for Ehlers+ I would look elsewhere. I like Ehlers and he would definitely help our offense, but he's not the right piece right now.

I hesitate to move Kunin because he's our best right handed forward and I think he has more room to grow into a 25-25 guy. He had a 20-20 pace this season playing shutdown minutes. If we acquire a top 6 right handed winger (Laine, Boeser), I could be more open to it. I'm also not a fan of acquiring Boeser for the price it would cost though.
Jim Benning has stated Demko is the goalie of the future for the club so unlikely to be traded, more likely that Markstrom hits free agency.
If you want Denko and BB would probably require you to take a cap dump like sutter, rousell or Lou Erickson back as well

Strome is being pushed down to 3c when he should be a 2c. He is probably their best trade asset for a team that desperately needs defense.

maybe, however, i know their fans had no interest in Dumba though. I wonder what we would've had to given them. I could see them make a play for Soucy during UFA.

I don't think Strome is going to be the odd man out in Chicago, personally. He won't be that expensive, and they can roll three somewhat even scoring lines with Toews-Kubalik, Dach-Kane, Strome-Debrincat.
They'll likely move some combination of Saad, Smith, de Haan, Maatta and Murphy to make it all fit.

What planet are you on where Vancouver would give up a 24 year old starting goalie with playoff experience and a guy that could score 40+ multiple times if he stays healthy for those two?

So we're looking at Boeser and Demko at their absolute peak values that they haven't achieved yet, but Dumba and Donato as what?

I'm not sure touting 4 games is a strong argument of value. Anyone can be good for 4 games. Also he was not the starting goalie. I've got this Snake Oil, I mean, Magical Elixir for you. Would you like to buy it? Four people drank it and said they feel fine.
I think you would have been better off stating that Demko has NHL starter potential, but has not been given that chance, yet. And then you could have explained why we should look past his .905 save%, which was clearly behind Markstrom's mark. You could have also stated that a recovering Dumba wasn't phenominal this past year, and that a recovering Boeser has the same upside, and both of them have reached and proven their potential in past years, making them pretty equal gambles.
Honestly, I think the Wild could be getting the better end of that deal, but I wouldn't go to a sportsbook with that bet.
Moving valuable assets for Boeser feels like a bad idea in any situation. Don’t know why exactly but I just am certain he would not do well here.
