No point bringing him back now, maybe last game to get in some limited minutes. Blues have nothing to play for now, they should be able to beat them with a decent effort from the guys they have.

So you're saying there's a chance

I was thinking VGK was trying to steal one of first two games then get Pacioretty back. Hope that's the case. First line is meh without him, ditto power play (to be fair, power play has sucked all year with or without him).

Trying to steal one home game against a team against whom your road record is dismal may not be a winning strategy.

How do these game time decisions work? Does Patches wake up in the morning and say that he can’t quite walk yet but maybe around 6 he’ll be able to?

PDB voodoo. He probably will tell him hey go out there and skate around in warmups, we'll decide at the last possible second just so those guys can't "prepare" for it. Such nonsense.

It’s like the Belichick injury report. Put everyone on it as questionable.

That's just hockey in general. A player could lose a hand live on TV and have it be called an upper body injury and day to day.

Thankfully Wilson hasn't managed to do that to anyone yet.

The day to day stuff is annoying though because you know they just do it to try to create some competitive edge that doesn't really exist. It's not like they don't have a gazillion minutes of video on Pacioretty and what he does. I think they can prepare for him playing or not and it doesn't make a difference when they find that out.
