1) They are this year's stats
2) Hey, feel free to show me these "stats" that have Nurse as being even close to Hanifin that you claim to have "seen"
3) I mean, points per sixty... corsi%.... if that's cherry-picked stats I dunno what you're looking for. We've already talked about total points back on post #90:
Rumor: - Pacific teams interested in Chiasson
At some point all the evidence, never mind the fact that we're comparing a 21YO to a 24YO, points to the same conclusion: no sane person would value Darnell Nurse over Noah Hanifin unless they really value facepunching
P.S., You missed my amendment... so I'll repost it
McDavid WITHOUT Darnell - 52.47%
Darnell Nurse WITH McDavid - 46.8%
Darnell Nurse WITHOUT McDavid - 45.97%
Not exactly a shining example of a great player.
It’s the exact same SKATR chart you posted, except actually using present teams instead of last year’s Hanifin results you posted for some absurd reasons.
I agree with everything you've quoted EXCEPT the part about Brodie/Hanifin< Klefbom/NurseActually, what I’m saying is that Giordano is goddamn incredible and easily a top 5 defenceman in the league. He’s so good he elevates the entire d-corps. Far and away the best defenceman on either team, and overall the depth is better.
Giordano >>> Larsson
Brodie/Hanifin < Klefbom/Nurse
Hamonic >> Russell
Andersson >> Benning
Kylington > Gravel
No, he wouldn’t. He’s terrible and caught lightning in a bottle for a while playing with the best player in the world. Can see the Flames as well. He’s a guy they know well, GM isn’t afraid to deal picks, and Chiasson would be a nice add to their bottom six.

I will agree that Klefbom is better than Brodie but Hanifin is better than Nurse
I would also say (by position):
LD Giordano> LD Klefbom
RD Brodie> RD Larson
LD Hanifin> LD Nurse
RD Hamonic> RD Russell
LD Kylington/RD Andersson /LD Valimaki/RD Prout>whoever else plays defense on the Oiler roster.
Shocking that you’d disagree with literally the only thing posted that’s even a little anti-Flames. thinnest skin in the NHL, you guys.
Now that Zuccarello went for a 2nd and 3rd pick, safe to say Chaisson is worth a 6th round at best.
You saw that it’s got enough conditions that it could be two firsts, right?
Slap bet that Chiasson returns more than that.
Habs offer a conditional 6th round pick (Turns into a 1st if the Habs win the cup and another 1st if the Habs re-sign him).
Holy moly you’re usually bad (Kylington > Nurse, anyone)
Oilers asking price for Chiasson is a 2nd round pick. From what we've seen lately on the returns teams are getting for trading forwards, Chiasson might be able to fetch a 2nd round pick at best.

While I'm not against it, because I wanted to retain him when he left. But, Neal started playing really well the last few weeks before his injury, Czarnik has been great since stepping into Neal's role and Hathaway has been great on our 4th line all season. I'm not sure we really have a place for Chiasson, I know he can play his off-wing, but I don't see him supplanting Bennett on the left side and if we add a top six forward, Frolik would be in that mix as well. Can see the Flames as well. He’s a guy they know well, GM isn’t afraid to deal picks, and Chiasson would be a nice add to their bottom six.

IIRC we talked to him about a deal after not qualifying him, so I don't think the Flames brass would write him off because they let him go before. In fact, with knowing how he fits into the room, it might increase the odds of him being brought it. That said, I just don't think we have a spot for him. They’re a team that could have kept him, for league minimum and chose not to. I don’t think he’s of interest for Calgary.

He was on a hot streak for the first 30 games of the season but the guy has only scored 1 goal in the past 22 games and none in the past 18. He's come back down to earth and he's showing his true colors.... which is why the Oilers want to get rid of him. He's also a better player now that has SCF's experience. Not saying that he's a guy that Calgary is targeting, but he is a better player now than he was then. I could see teams interested in him, however if we could sign him to a bargain 2 year deal I'd sooner do that unless a team overpays and offers up a 2nd or a good prospect.
