Been following this **** for years and I'm glad it appears to be done(still won't cheer until it's completely done).

If they stay, it's time for me and a pair of buddies to start saving money for our planned Arizona trip in February. We're thinking of coming there for a weekend with two home games where we'll be arriving on Thursday and leaving on Monday morning. Because honestly, we just want hockey and nothing else in Arizona interest us. =P

That would be great if they flew down to help. It would be guaranteed to fail. All signature gatherers need to be AZ residents.

Maybe we should go to the BoH board and pretend to throw a fit about them coming down here, just to antagonize them into actually doing it.

I thought the same thing. Generate some income for the city and it would be funny to see the reaction in this weather. Its been so friggin hot recently.

On the other hand I do not want anything to delay the process. So a clear cut failure with no complications of 8,000 signature from people outside the state would be good.

Welcome to the boards!

I too hope parking will be covered (at least for us long time sth's). I HATE paying to park, particularly on a game by game basis. If they want to charge me, then charge me upfront and for the love of God DON'T let anyone paying cash park in my lot! I have NO PATIENTS for cash paying customers slowing down a line!

I agree, included in the price of ST would be best, just like the Cards do.

it could be a selling point for those folks who only buy half season - hey, buy the full season and get a real discount on parking for every two tickets you have on account. The folks who only go once in a bleu moon are either going to pay to park close or will hike in from Cabela's or some distant shore.

Or... for the full season ticket holders who walk to the games or otherwise would not need a parking pass give full season ticket holders a discount pass to buy if they want/need one, and then if they don't buy the season long pass, they are on their own or an pay the $10 when they go.

I know some guys split a full season package, and some sell off games, so they might not want to pay for parking for 41 games if they only go to say 30. But say they sold parking passes to full season ticket holders say for every two seats, if you need a parking pass you can get one for $250 for the regular season, or just pay as you go (or hike in from Cabela's).

Might mess up the accounting though for the city....

Whatever, $10 for parking for an NHL game is not unreasonable, unless it was for the Cabela's parking lot.

Well thats just crazy. I get that you love hockey, but nothing else in AZ in Feb interests you? World class resorts, golf, restaurants, spa's, water park's, casino's, escorts, ect...... For all the hate AZ gets from this board, it really is one of the greatest places on the earth to live. Yes, the summer's are crazy hot, but man invented AC and pool's for a reason. Gotta say, Westgate is great on game night and if you have a Swedish accent, you'll probley get laid.

"Arizona. Come for the hockey, stay for the scenery!"

How about hockey IN the Grand Canyon??

I just flashed back to the original pre-game sequence at AWA where - IIRC - the puck flies out of the canyon, then down the hill freezing saguaros on its way to Phoenix, where the kachina coyote saves it and there's a big explosion. (and as I typed that - bang! - someone let off an unauthorized firework outside, lol) Anyone who knows to what I'm referring got a link to that?

Don't have the link, but I remember exactly what you're talking about.

I do remember that intro. That was back when I wasn't even a hockey fan. The show I was watching ended and the coyotes game was on next and I just remember that intro coming on. Crazy how I remember that.

Really think the center ice logo should go back to being the purple moon again.
