Team needs to tight down defensively --> Ovechkin-Backstrom-Wilson -line on for 5 goals against, and they were lucky that number wasn't even bigger. Didn't care too much about defending tonight. Backstrom should have been given ''fan of the game'' award for that performance.

If Kuznetsov is out for long-term they need to start figuring out where to get someone who can provide them Conn Smythe -production if they want to make a deep run. Backstrom is not going to be the answer.

Silver lining is that if Kuznetsov is out maybe they can use that loophole the Blackhawks used a while back when Patrick Kane got hurt and they didn't bring him back until the start of the Playoffs to get more cap space and acquire more depth.

I think our team is at its best when its hitting.

No hitting = no energy = opposition is fearless.

Outside of a half power hit from Ovi and Willy in the first, we played soft.

I am pissed Ovi didn't get credited with that butt goal.

Looks more like separated shoulder now (if its not collarbone), so he can play after not that long layoff, but can reinjure it. Probably he could reinjure it anyway and exactly that happened last game.

If that is the case there will be no 2nd Kane loophole for Caps.
