As a Ducks fan makes me sad to see him pass Selanne. Congrats Ovi on being such a great goal scorer.
Man, I miss having Selanne in the league.
Wow. Great for Ovie. Selanne had one heck of a long and great career.
This Ovechkin kid might be legit...
Lemieux (needs 7 more to pass him).
NHL All-Time Goals Leaders
That will really hit home with a lot of people (albeit with a lot more games played than the great Lemieux). He will be in the top 10 at that point yes?
Congrats to the best goal-scorer ever!
The next three will be huge, and will happen rather soon
then Gartner 708
Ovechkin is at 686
safe to say by end of the season he will be in the top 8 of all time or even top 7
I'm sure it will bother some people, but most people know that Lemieux did this in like 200+ less games, so most people will be happy for OV I'm sure. Regardless, it'll be a great achievement for OV.
Ovechkin is gonna pass some absolutely huge names this season. Well deserved.
He could be #4 by the end of next season.
Imagine if he played as long as Selanne. He would top Gretzky for sure.
He would need 56 more goals to be tied for 4th. Unlikely in the ~35 games he has left.
Selanne's a legend but good for Ovi
And Ovi isn't?
End of next season (100+ games away)
“End of next season”
Also congratulations on the empty net hat trick in the next 40 minutes or so.
Oops, good thing literacy is not a bar for posting I guess.
If he has same kind of longevity as Selanne then yes. Have to remember Ovie has always been rather physical and they their careers tend to end sooner. Though Ovie has always been pretty healthy and he's not your normal guy. Hopefully he plays for another 6 years.
Idk why but this caught me so off guard and made me lol
He is only 9 behind Messier.
In over 600 games less games played
Wel Ovie was drafted in 2004. That was nearly 16 years ago. He’s a legend already even if he retired tomorrow.
No he wouldn’t have. Nobody will.
Separate names with a comma.
