"Ovechkin will now do everything possible to stay overseas and fight for the title of the best sniper in NHL history, to try to break Wayne Gretzky’s record" - Leonid Weisffeld said on Ovi and I agree, although you also can't rule out that he'll want to go home one day and play out the rest of his time in KHL, probably for some mad amount of money

He could play in KHL also in his 40s. No doubt about it. Also first break the record, then make it to 900, then Dynamo and olympic gold.
But it will be hard because at that times the Slovaks new generation will be hungry for their first gold. :sarcasm:

Man...with the new 6 foot distancing rule coming in he's bound to break Gretzky's record!

Seriously,

If he wants to play in the KHL at like 42 he will definitely be able to. 6' 3" 230 along with being a kid who just loves the sport helps with durability.
