Both are considered to be great players and both can press for the Calder. Do you think that these two can have a similar effect that Lebron James and Carmelo Anthony had on the NHL?

Carmello led his team to the playoffs. There's next to no chance of Ovechkin putting the Capitals on his back alone and getting to the playoffs. (Anthony didn't either, but he also had a better cast) Lebron also revitalized a whole team, a town, and much of the Eastern Conference.
No chance that happens. It is hockey after all.
