Canucks win tonight again.
With what happened to them and the way they are playing since coming back, I would bet on them to make the playoffs.

I think Habs will finish their season with not enough points to clinch (5-6 points ahead of Vancouver) and they will watch the Canucks pass them in their final game vs Calgary.

A Habs loss tomorrow and Vancouver will be in control of their destiny.

Let's keep in mind how the habs looked for the first two games after their covid restart.

Canucks have a shitload of games in not a lot of days coming up. No Covid-stricken team did good on the long run it seems. So not worried for now.

Reading online how they were the best team in the North, I wouldn't have expected this.

After their last lost to the Canucks, Toronto has won only 6 regulation games in their last 22.

I wonder if their honeymoon with Galchenyuk is over. -6 and 1 point in last 5 games.

Just re-watched the highlights. Wow, two goals given up by Rittich were horrendous!

Yup - Habs won 3-in a row after coming back from COVID holidays...only time this season they’ve won 3-straight

Reading that Leafs GDT today from the start of the 3rd until the end of last nights game was god damn awesome. Graham Skilliter is the new Kerry Fraser for that fanbase over there in Figland. It was a constant whinefest about Skilliter, Rittich and Hughson. You love to see it. :)

He's always shone in the regular season.

Playoffs though....He's already in vacation.
He wasn't that bad in the playoffs. Problem is that we depended way too much on a guy to play like a superstar when he wasn't one. He went to Vegas and put up some great playoff numbers. Not a guy who's going to lead the way but certainly good enough to contribute a lot if you surround him properly.

And this is classic Bergevin. He had great players who he did not support. It happened with Max, it happened with Chuck, it happened with PK and it's happened with Price. Brutal.

There has been NO GM this bad in our history. Yes, that includes Reggie Houle, who was unfairly used...

We can debate who was worse.

But it's hard to debate who did more damage. MB came in at the absolute worst possible time for us. He derailed what should've been some cup contending seasons. He also brought in an awful coach who not only stunted development and progress but actually fractured the dressing room. Nevermind the arbitration fiasco with our best skater. Just absolutely God awful.

MB would be a good assistant GM. Let him engineer those bargain bin type moves. He's actually not half bad at it. But you need somebody to actually run and build the team. MB is not capable of doing that.

Peanut should never have been made GM. He had no hockey management experience at all. Bergeving does not have the excuse as the protégé of Dale Talon in Chicago before coming to Montreal.

Just realized this is... the out of town thread. Okay, no more Bergie stuff.

McDavid btw is pacing for 140 in a regular 82 game season now. That's insane for this day and age. Those are Yzerman type numbers.
