Did they make the playoffs over us? Nope. You were wrong.

Did the isles make the playoffs? Nope you were wrong.

Did the rangers? Nope. You were wrong.

Did the Canes? Nope. You were wrong.

Did the Devils miss like you predicted? Nope. You were wrong.
I hate to gang up on DD here, as I consider him a friend of mine on the forum, but one really tough miss he had was that we'd finish with 12-14 fewer points than the Rangers back in November.

Tampa in 5. I watched those 4 games and Tampa was dominant at times. I would have much rather played penguins or the bruins. With that said, it's been a great season, regardless of what happens.

I don't think the Devils will win, but I can see them stealing a couple of games. I think they are going to get some rush scoring chances vs. Tampa (they will give them up as well). Against Boston it would be more of a cycle game, which isn't our strong suit.

This is my issue. We were thoroughly outplayed by Tampa in each meeting. Let's just hope we didn't use up all of our bounces, including Lack's unicorn performance. They're a deeper and better version of us with deadly special teams. I'll be praying for a miracle.

What a Great night....for me.

Tampa is a better match up in the sense that the Devils HAVE beaten them(though it was a struggle) before.

Boston would've been in the Devils heads all series long with how much Rask would've shut them down.

Vasilevsky? I think we'll see Hall get his first ever NHL Playoff Goal this series(as well as Nico).

CAN'T WAIT!! :devdance::devdance::devdance::devdance::devdance::devdance:

I'm just trying to think how I would have felt if the Lemaire miracle run had come up just one point shy of making the playoffs.

I'd probably still be mad at MacLean and Langenbrunner if that happened.

Tampa will lockdown on Hall. I don't think we can keep up with them with Hall under control. Zacha has to have the series of his life for us to win.

Devils in 7.

We must have watched different games because the Devils game Tampa all it could handle. I know you watched at least 1 different game because they only played 3 times this season.

You watched us play Tampa 4 times ? That's funny since we only played them 3.
Perhaps a simple and honest typo, but that was my first thought too.

We looked pretty decent against them, outside of that game in Tampa where Eddie Lack played. We were dead even with them in the game we won in a shootout in October. We were on the right end of atrocious goaltending from Budaj, but it was evenly played. It was one of our better games in October, where we weren't outshot by a whole bunch, which happened a lot in October and November. We looked pretty good against them last time. Score effects and a lot of Greene/Vatanen tilted things in the 3rd period, but we had a pretty good game against them recently.

Then I suppose you'll be watching Baseball then since you know the result of the series.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I'll watch regardless, but matchups are matchups. Pens and bruins were very beatable. Tampa has the d to break our forecheck. Plus, their scoring depth can grind us up.

In all fairness, no one here is more right than you and me.

We may be wrong at times but we stick our necks out there while others don't or are wrong themselves such as that absurd prediction of Pitts being done.

It's part of what makes following sports fun.

It will be a competitive series at the very least. I don't think we're going down in 4 or 5 games and we definitely have a chance.

It will be either Tampa in 6.....

...or Devils in 7.

(or if things break right as far as Puck Luck goes....Devils in 6)

Going to be one hell of a FUN SERIES. :vhappy::vhappy::vhappy:
