Well, I believe birds are the closest ancestors to the land-living dinosaurs, so it makes sense.

Then again, crocodiles...do they count as land-living?

Modern crocs can spend some of their time on dry land hunting, but their inability to regulate body temperature keeps them in the water the majority of their lives. They are typically described as "semiaquatic reptiles." The fossil record (if you choose to believe it) indicates land-dwelling ancestral crocodilians existed, including Carnufex carolinensis.
