What a crappy roster. I am predicting a last place finish in the atlantic division.

With zibanejad:

boston
detroit
ottawa
toronto
montreal
tampa
florida
buffalo

Without zibanejad:

boston
detroit
toronto
montreal
tampa
florida
buffalo

fixed for you.

Really excited about what Conacher, Da Costa, and Pageau can do.

It's kinda bitter sweet seeing Da Costa and Pageau's name there knowing Zibanejad might start in the minors. Hopefully SDC seizes this opportunity for himself. Pageau is probably going to play a bigger role on this team than anyone could have anticipated. I am extremely impressed with him and I'm not scared to say he's going to be our most important forward not in a top 6 spot.

Greening-Pageau-Da Costa
Condra-Smith-Neil

Methot-Karlsson
Cowen-Wiercioch
Phillips-Gryba

Anderson/Lehner

Problems
-stacking the top line; they didn't even look good together
-playing Conacher on his off wing (though he may have more success there, we don't know)
-playing SDC on the wing
-Phillips-Gryba can't move the puck

I'll go with

Conacher - Spezza - Ryan
MacArthur - Turris - Michalek
Greening - Pageau - Condra
Kassian - Smith - Neil
Da Costa

Methot - Karlsson
Cowen - Wiercioch
Phillips - Gryba
Corvo

Anderson/Lehner

Although this is what I would do, there are problems:
-Phillips-Gryba again. Though I like the idea of a clearly defined top 4 like this.
-the 4th line is worse (but the top 9 better imo)
-Da Costa doesn't play and can't be showcased
-No chance of seeing Smith develop into something more because he is being dragged down

And how do you match this third line Condra-Pageau-Da Costa ?
When they obviously have to play against first and second line of the opposing teams , if we are planning to have any success ?

Looks like a team that will be fighting for a playoff spot... Hopefully we get it.

I would go with that too. Conacher, macarthur a little redundant. Michalek adds another dimension to the line as does conacher to the spezza line with creativity and quickness

I think at the very least they're in the mix. If healthy that forward group can put up offense. Still question marks on D and you never know whats up with this teams powerplay.

Goaltending should be steady.

******. Both Zibanejad and Stone should be on the team. Hopefully Murray makes trades in October to create roster spots for both.

We have way too many small or smallish forwards.

Jean Gabriel Pageau 5'9 163 lbs
Stephane Da Costa 5'11 185 lbs
Cory Conacher 5'8 179 lbs
Erik Condra 6' 189 lbs
Kyle Turris 6'1 193 lbs
Clark MacArthur 6' 191 lbs

Hey guys, 6'1 is small.

Btw, Mandy, MacArthur-Turris-Conacher have played last 2 game together in those positions and looked amazing. Especially on the PP. I'm not concerned about Conacher being off-wing.

I do agree with Michalek not fitting in top line but let's give it time in regular season rather than pre-season. P.S. They didn't sent down Zibanejad to let DaCosta sit in pressbox.

Michalek-Spezza-Ryan
MacArthur-Turris-Conacher
Greening-Pageau-Condra
Smith-DaCosta-Neil

That looks sick.
