Bro i had absolutely NO idea where that came from. We haven't seen it since his first year here. When he scored that goal I went berserk.

He had a wonky knee most of last year, so these were too few and far between.

That said, he has been on-a-year, off-a-year ever since arriving, and through most of his years in San Jose, so he is due for a bounce back campaign given he had a relatively healthy summer and time to recover. Age is catching up to him, however.

My 2 cents.

I don't find Spezza's defensive game weak but I do think he's not getting involved physically enough in both zones.

I agree with the poster who said Cowen struggles defensively

I would also add that Phillips tend to point to all his teammates on the ice what to do but forgets his own guy.
