Not that it matters in the big picture, but Scott Cullen is an Ottawa hating idiot who consistently under ranks the RB's. (and Sens)

Same record as the Riders and coming off wins over the Esks and Riders, he still puts Ottawa behind Sask.

I actually had to look up Scott Cullen to see who he was. “Resident fantasy sports expert”.... Cool. He may as well have an account on HFBoards.

On last night’s game, the Argos look DONE, frankly. Winning in Calgary was a long shot I know, but given where they sit, I somehow expected a stronger effort on the road. We’re all but clinched now for a home playoff game.

Go Lions today!

And having beaten Sask twice this year, I've been saying this as well. But what do you expect, Cullen works for TSN, the Toronto Sports Network, which has a secondary mandate of consistently disrespecting everythingOttawa in every sport.

Hamilton makes up half a game this weekend while the REDBLACKS sit idle, though with Hamilton off for Thanksgiving, we can restore our two game lead. Montreal's loss puts them on the brink of elimination. The only way they make the playoffs is if they win their last 4-games, Hamilton loses their last 4-games and in the process, Montreal has to beat Hamilton by 39-points when they meet in week 21. It's all but over again for the Als playoff hopes.

The race in the west for 3rd and 4th is insane. With Calgary safely in 1st and Saskatchewan looking to start pulling away to host the western semi, one of Edmonton, Winnipeg or B.C. is going to miss the playoffs. Our next two opponents are two of those three teams....

Still some scenarios to unfold, but most simply, if we can stay at minimum one-game ahead before we play them, one win vs Hamilton will win the east.

We never seem to come out firing after a bye week, so I figured I'd go back since inception in 2014 to see how we've fared historically. Every season had two bye-weeks until the league added a 21st week to the schedule this year, giving each team three:

2014
Result following Bye 1: Ottawa 28 @ Winnipeg 36 (LOSS)
Result following Bye 2: Ottawa 32 @ Saskatchewan 35 (OT) (LOSS)

2015
Result following Bye 1: Montreal 23 @ Ottawa 26 (WIN)
Result following Bye 2: Ottawa 31 @ B.C. 18 (WIN)

2016
Result following Bye 1: Montreal 43 @ Ottawa 19 (LOSS)
Result following Bye 2: Ottawa 23 @ Calgary 48 (LOSS)

2017
Result following Bye 1: Hamilton 36 @ Ottawa 41 (WIN)
Result following Bye 2: Saskatchewan 31 @ Ottawa 20 (LOSS) -> East Semi-Final

2018
Result following Bye 1: Saskatchewan 17 @ Ottawa 40 (WIN)
Result following Bye 2: Montreal 21 @ Ottawa 11 (LOSS)
Result following Bye 3: Winnipeg @ Ottawa ????

In addition, there have been two bye weeks in the playoffs between the final week of the regular season and the Eastern Final:

2015: Hamilton 28 @ Ottawa 35 (WIN) -> East Final
2016: Edmonton 23 @ Ottawa 35 (WIN) -> East Final

So, to present, the REDBLACKS all time record following an in-season/playoff week off is 6-6.

Pruneau and Mcmillan put on the six game injured list.

That’s too bad. Nolan MacMillan can’t seem to stay healthy anymore. The o-line is deep when healthy and in good hands with how they’ve focused on those positions in the draft so it might be time to move on at the end of the season. On Pruneau, that’s a big one. Hopefully it’s not the full 6-weeks and hopefully both are healthy when the games are do-or-die.

I f***ing love Powell. After a lengthy opening Bombers drive which results in a FG, he runs 48 yards and then catches 8 yards for a TD. Monster statement against Harris.

Other than Powells early big run, looking like A.Harris outplayed Powell making a difference. Wpg possession time killing us.

HUGE sack by Tindal. Absolutely no time for Winnipeg's QB to get rid of it. Redblacks are going to have 1:43 to move the ball 65 yards.

Great that our RedBlacks got it to OT!

Too little, too late, however!

Penalties lost this game!

Our D bent too far too!

Congrats to Ward! Too bad the record was earned in a loss!

Looks like Ward will be in the NFL next season.

Yeah Maher off to a good start. Hadnt thought of that. Perhaps he still needs to establish himself on some longer ones first though, dont recall too many 50+ yarders. But also nice of the team maybe to not make him risk his record on that long one yesterday either, gives him some cachet if any nfl teams are looking.

We lost Tynes, and Maher after good seasons. The fact that Ward has been more consistent than both of those guys seems like a certainty at this point.

Ward is gonna get a look for sure.

On Friday, that looked like the Rick Campbell teams of old, lacking discipline throughout. Backed into a playoff spot with Toronto's loss yesterday, so now it's whether that home game is Nov. 11, or Nov. 18.

Hamilton x2 looming large now....
