I would like to see them play to full potential against these guys for once. Oilers went 9-0 against them. Think their stats are padded just a bit or is Ottawa better than everyone gave them credit for. In think a bit of both. Always a hard fought game and never easy. I thought more of this Ottawa team season start than most. They play hard.We need to have a really good game and our bottom 6 hopefully won’t get out played by their’s.

Barabanov - 925k -
Kerfoot - 3.5 m
Engvall - 1.25 m

almost 6 million for these 3 players and a grand total of 26 points
Yuk !
And they bring nothing to the table other than they are all fast , and they take 3 roster spots and they are mostly soft as soft could ever be ..

People are still trying to convince each other that Kerfoot has value.

Shows how little you know about hockey.
He thinks Thornton is a great addition.

Thornton does nothing, he has 1 point in his last 15 games.
He got carried by Matthews/Marner, he's an absolute pylon, can't play D, and can't skate.

Kerfoot is one of our best players. He PKs, plays like a dog, has scoring touch, speedy, and, he's an excellent passer. He's only played on the 4th/3rd line this whole year and is producing.
Engval is also definitely miles ahead of Thornton. He's amazing at zone entries, PKs, and is speedy.

I'm just going to accept that this game will be closer than it should, and hopefully they come out with a W

Seems like they're due for a letdown game though.

It is a good thing that Barabanov is just a filler and Kerfoot + Engvall are significantly better defensively than any of those other guys you mentioned. Points are not everything, and even then, Kerfoot and Engvall are better than Simmonds and Thornton in that area right now too... And neither have had extended time playing on a top PP or with Matthews/Marner.

Good points
No doubt about the future possibilities, you are correct
I’m judging the entirety of it after the playoff run
I’m confident in the fact that solid veteran leadership is extremely important
We shall see
