Haven't had to say this for a while, but, "a long way from a Rembrandt". This team keeps finding a way to win, even when they don't play that well.

I certain there next game will be more focused.
Their passes were off in timing and they had a hard time cycling the puck. Andrew saved the game for sure.
I predict a blowout next game 6-1 sort of game.

Where was Chemelevski last night, as second line was not visible at all without him?

When is Peric going to return?

First line was pretty quiet except in the shootout and Andree looked good.

I know it’s only been 12 games but how do the Ottawa fans think Maksimovich is fitting in?

Chmelevski (LBI) day-to-day
Peric (UBI) week-to-week

8-8-16 points and +15 in 12 games. I'd say not bad.

Yeah his stats are pretty good but I haven’t watched many games of Ottawa since he left Erie. He’s a player that does a lot of little things that don’t show up on the stat sheet but go a long way.

I truly believe that Maksimovich should have been the 3rd. player used in the shootout. He was 3 for 5 and definitely the best option on the team.

Game on the line use the highest % of success available.

Could have avoided the shootout. Two undisciplined penalties in the 3rd period of a 1-goal game, Clarke for CC and then Clark for hooking on the PK caused a 5-on-3. Tying goal was scored 5-on-4 after Clarke exited the box and was on the PK (where he has no business).

This tam takes way too many penalties in general. We talk about the special teams being weak but if there was one and only one thing this team NEEDS to improve on is staying out of the box.

Ottawa is 8th in the league in TSH/GP at 4.15. TSH can be a misleading stat as it could be 2 min (usual), 4 min or 5 min, or any part thereof (as little as 1 sec). There is not statistical differentiation between a 5-on-4, 5-on-3 or 4-on-3 but over a 50 game sample size it would be reasonable to assume every team has a fairly equal proportion of all SH situations.

TSH/GP

1. Sudbury 4.47
2. Barrie 4.50
3. London 4.26
4. North Bay 4.23
5. Peterborough 4.19
6. Sault Ste. Marie 4.18
7. Oshawa 4.17
8. Ottawa 4.15

I don’t know guys. 67’s aren’t looking like an elite team lately. Another tough game against a considerably lower seed. I guess Hamilton are a tough out? Wolves play them several times down the stretch.

First, you can't play elite all year and blow teams out. A good test for a good team is number of one goal game wins as well as constant blowouts.

Second, it is a three in three on the road.

It is also very tough to get up for these games sometimes after having a tough but successful weekend last weekend. The remaining stretch is pretty much a yawner. It isn't surprising they are flat this week. I will be worried and disappointed if they can't dial it up with a couple weeks left in the season.
