Howard is a middle of the pack starter, which I would consider a good goalie. I would bet the quality of shots Howard has to face is much higher than almost every other starting goalie also. Put a half competent defense in front of him who can keep players on the outside and his save% would increase quite a bit.

I might agree if we had a chance at every single pick between the top3 and where we finish, but we literally have no chance at #4, 5 as of now. If we win out it could get even worse than that. And also obviously significantly worse odds at top3.
