I'd rather have Tkachuk now so he can help the team sooner.

I think it's too much from Avs. Ottawa just finished 30th and most likely have to trade their best player in the summer. Hell, if Duchene is tired of rebuilds they might have to trade him as well if they don't want to lose him for nothing.

That pick holds a lot of value, most likely being a top ten pick next year with a shot of being 1st overall.

OTT 2019 1st round pick, NSH 2018 2nd round pick, OTT 2019 3rd round pick + B prospect would be my ceiling. Probably not enough for Ottawa but as an Avs fan I am more than comfortable just letting the situation play itself out. If it's a great pick 2019, good on Avs. If Sens manage to turn it into a mid first rounder, good on them.
