He absolutely is. He's a better player than you're likely going to land with most 1st round picks. I'd happily give up a lottery protected 1st for another Kane.
Ducks seem like a weird team too if they are healthy hes on the third line there too. The kesler line is the perfect matchup line and rakell is fine as #1 lw. Sure any team could use him on their third line but I doubt they outbid a team that wants him on their firstDucks had been a banged up team this season and we didn't know if we would make the playoffs so we weren't going to trade a high price for UFA to be E. Kane and the troubles he could bring. Also we had no idea how he is in the playoffs considering he never played in them. This isn't a Cup season for the Ducks even with E. Kane in the lineup. I have no problem at all not trading for him.
I do not understand sarcasm.are you joking don't you know 30 goal scorers that are in their prime grow on trees. Glad the flyers didn't part with a 2nd at the deadline. He wouldn't have helped at all in this Pittsburgh series.
I do not understand sarcasm.
Botterill said he talked with a few teams but only the Sharks made an offer worth talking to. Which means a couple teams probably offered a third round pick.
Pretty positive Anaheim was one of them.
So go Sharks.
hmm well most flyer fans don't think he was worth a 2nd round pick. I mean he is just not a good enough player.
He is a good enough player, there was never any doubt. It's the off-ice stuff that most likely frightened off half the league. So far, it seems like he's fitting in for San Jose. On a short-term deal where he has to prove it before free agency, it's not a terrible risk for a team that wasn't a complete lock to win the Cup.
While that's not wrong, being "one-dimensional" is really not a bad thing. Every team can use players who score a lot of points, regardless of the rest of their game.Vanek is a one dimensional player period. Slow and soft and if he's not scoring goals he's pretty useless. Best served as a PP specialist.
