Oh come on. You're telling me the White Sox could not be bother to show some patience with a kid with obvious talent like Tatis, Jr? What's going to happen if Eloy starts off ML career in a say 1-20 with 8 k's slump. Trade him? White Sox screwed up on Tatis, Jr, plain and simple.
He didn't have one stateside plate appearance. His "obvious talent" never got the chance to show in the White Sox org.

He was a 700k sign that year. If he was so clearly and obviously talented, he would have gotten more.

Dallas Keuchel better be careful. Maybe being like the Cubs isn't so bad after all. With the Mariners and Yankees, there's a shot the Astros miss the playoffs.

I love Dallas' candor ... but be ready for the pot shots from opposing fans. That's part of the job playing wrestling villian.

Keuchel puts Cubs on blast

Hamels stuff isn’t great anymore but the guy can pitch. Would anyone be upset if we buy him out and then offer him a year or two in the low teens per?

Texas owes him the six million payout when he’s bought out. Two years at ten million per would have him making 26 million over the next two years to be the vet #4.

Anddddd Q falls apart once again in the 6th inning. I’m shocked. And the offense once again shutting down after a solo HR. What a great series. Hopefully the Cards lose. Legit started to get worried they may catch up.

Kudos to the pen for getting out of that with only one run allowed. Great work. Hopefully the offense can figure out the scoring runs thing here.

With how he pitched this year, wouldn’t it be better to hope he doesn’t come back? :sarcasm:

Yah, this may actually be a blessing....

Cubs will go with a 4 man rotation in the playoffs regardless. Lester, Hamels, Hendrick and TBD

Addison Russell needs his ass benched. And it’s too bad Carintini can’t hit worth a damn, because Willy could use a few extra days off too.

And Cubs lose. What a pathetic effort from the offense. 4 runs, all solo shots, in 38 innings.

Thank goodness they took two of those games. Still a 3.5 game lead on the Brewers.

On one hand, that was an utterly pathetic series offensively.

On the other hand.... pitchers were damn good for almost the entire part.

On another hand (mutant person, go with it), good teams find ways to win, and going .500 in a four game series in which you only scored four runs is pretty impressive.

It is. Have to tip your hat to the pitching. They could have scored 5 runs in 4 games and came out with three wins if it were not for the boneheadedness of Addison Russell (though there is a decent chance they don’t score there anyway).

Just have to hope the bats find it at the right time.
