Tyree Jackson's stock is rising

If we were in yet another season of watching college quarterbacks every Saturday in an effort to find the future Bills franchise signal caller, I would absolutely tell you to watch Tyree Jackson. The junior has led the University at Buffalo to a 3-0 start and is putting himself in the discussion for top quarterback draft prospects next spring.

Jackson is completing a career best 65% of his passes and his 12 touchdown passes ties his career best set last season.

Jackson has the key qualities you want in a quarterback. He's big(6'7", 245 pounds), strong armed and mobile. He can make throws in the pocket but is equally adept at throwing on the move and out of the pocket. He has the arm to throw the ball deep but has the touch to make the short throws too. The Michigan native is very accurate throwing outside the numbers thanks in part to that arm strength. Jackson's legs can be a weapon too if he so chooses. He ran for more than 700 yards over the last two seasons.

2019 NFL Draft: Why Buffalo LB Khalil Hodge can be a productive three-down NFL defender

Khalil Hodge needs some more love as a legit NFL prospect.

Though he plays for the Buffalo Bulls, historically a non-powerhouse in the MAC, the senior linebacker has been overshadowed by two teammates on the offensive side of the ball. Wideout Anthony Johnson -- a 6-foot-2, 205-pound, yards-after-the-catch specialist -- had 1,356 yards and 14 touchdowns on 76 receptions in 2017 and is a likely first- or second-round pick. Quarterback Tyree Jackson might even be more captivating to scouts and general managers at 6-7 and 245 pounds with plus athleticism, a monster arm, and a 30-13 touchdown-to-interception ratio to date in his career.

Still hard to believe UB isn't in the top 25. Maybe this schedule with all the mid-week games are hurting their rankings?

Their schedule is hurting them, but mainly because they haven't played any teams of consequence. Outside of their conference the only teams they've beaten are Delaware State, Temple and Rutgers. Delaware State isn't even in the top subdivision, Rutgers is absolutely terrible, and Temple is a mediocre team who plays in a non-power conference. Temple managed to beat Cincinnati, which is about the only thing any of the teams UB has beaten have done to distinguish themselves.

UB Men's BB going to OT at #13 West Virginia! Game on ESPNU.

EDIT: BULLS WIN! Just dominated the OT, Massinburg was unstoppable. After getting votes in the preseason poll, they might be able to sneak in to the top 25 with a road win against a ranked team...
