Be careful with any gatherings folks. I know of a family who thought they could get away with a gathering. Fines 5K and the guests were all fined 1 k as well.

Seems sad we can't have a Coronavirus thread at the exact moment that things are starting to get much better in Alberta.

Case amounts continue to go down and snuck under 1K cases, 900 on Xmas Day and 6% positivity, also down. Hospital numbers remain stubborn, but active cases and new cases all over subsiding. Hopefully people spent a wise Xmas and we don't see a huge uptick 1,2 weeks later. Would be a real shame. Right at the moment the stats are headed a good way, hopefully that continues.

ps Boxing day only 500 cases but that was on a reduced 7k tests.

The interesting thing is you gotta think that only people really ill are going to go in for Covid testing through Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, etc so surprising that positivity isn't higher.

Talking about charities, what Dave Portnoy is doing is just incredible. The Earth needs more guys like that. Just incredible. To bad all the big billionaires of the world dont step up like he is, maybe he gets them to in the end?
