NFL reportedly makes combine ban compromise for violent offender that doesn't address root of problem

In this case, player allowed to interview with teams and go through medical evals, but cannot participate in on field activities.

Pundit argues that allowing this is not good PR for league and shows disregard for victims of violence, domestic abuse. And not politically correct.

Teams have been willing to sign guys with violent records, even without combine participation. It does give players opportunities to explain their situation.

Yet another reason for me to distance myself from being football fan.

Battery and public drunkenness?

This is what we're keeping people out of stuff for now? With the number of states that have banned employers from asking about criminal convictions on job applications, I wonder why we still see stories like this.

Is the idea that he might get rich in his job interview the motivating cause?

This guy could literally get turned down by every NFL team and go get employed at any company in most states with less scrutiny.
