So basically the TiCats are moving to Quebec City or Moncton. Does this affect Hamilton getting an NHL franchise in anyway?

1. While things don't look good, the TiCats aren't dead yet.

2. The two are mutually exclusive. There is a greater appetite for hockey than football in southern Ontario. It's hard to say if the NHL cares about how the CFL does in one of its markets. Up the QEW in Toronto the Argos have come close to death in the past and I don't see NHL pulling the Maple Leafs if Argos were to go.

3. I didn't think the NHL was considering Hamilton at this time. Between the TiCats not being relocated (yet) and the NHL not considering relocation....in before the lock.

As an aside, as a CFL fan I hope the Tiger Cats find a way to stay in Hamilton. They have roots in the city that go back to 1869 and it would be a shame to see them go - even if it is a business. It would be like seeing one of the Original 6 teams relocate.

I'll say they've never been in line for an NHL team.

Not really relevant to the business of hockey board otherwise.
