Would’ve liked a player in return, but I also wasn’t expecting two 2nd rd picks and 3rd for Robinson

Yeah. Would’ve liked Peric. But I’d rather these picks than a random other player. The Gens now have more 2nds than anyone else and all but 1 of them are in drafts ‘21-‘25. Which is your draft pick cupboard for a Mem cup team next year

I don't know the euro rules, I know you can have 2 but if it's a euro goalie does he count, I don't think he does and if so Ivan Prosvetov (G) oa for Saginaw(a log jam of oa's as I think Lennox will be #1)be a better choice than Popovich:huh:

Yes it counts. The Gens won't be getting Prosvetov with Gross/Suni

Is Hunter Brazier hurt? I saw Brock had him listed as a potential rookie who could make an impact this season but I don’t see him on either roster for training camp.

Pre-camp thoughts/questions:

Forwards:
Antropov-McShane-Noel
Suni-Neumann-Tullio
Winterton-Resnick-Harrison
Walker-Gagnier-Michaud

is my top 12 with McKinney/Drouin as extras. If Resnick isn't an OA then move Gagnier up. Can McKinney beat out Michaud for a top 12 spot?

Defence:
Brewer-Moore
Ennis-Vallati
Gross-

are all locked in. 6th D spot is led by Bays, Jesus, or Pitt to me (barring a trade or Gucciardi reporting)

Goalies:
Paputsakis is a lock
Hughes is a lock if they decide a goalie doesn't count as an OA spot (some people have said it's happening, other people have said it will but not this season).

Is Sbrocca ready for the OHL or does he need another year of OJHL?

The next 3 days will be very interesting. 6 scrimmages to eventuate which players deserve to be on the roster. This perhaps will be the foundation for a Memorial Cup Team

I thought it was interesting that they put the guys trying out on 3 lines together and the OHL guys who were in the game today on a line together, and Riley Pitt was on that "OHL vs OHL" 5 on 5 matchup, paired with Vallati

Wasn’t able to make it out to the first scrimmage, but I’m really liking what I’m seeing from Winterton so far. He is playing with Noel in this game which is a bit of a cheat code, but I’ve liked his speed. Should be a great addition to our bottom 6.

Gagnier has impressed too. Likely a bottom 6 guy as well but he’s looking really aggressive on the forecheck, finishing every check. Should fit into that role well.

Admittedly haven’t seen much from McKinney yet

Gagnier can be a Tullio type player where he’ll show off his skating one shift, put someone through the boards the next shift then go out and kill a big penalty.

I’ve never been as high as other on McKinney.

I also think Harrison looks like a legit top 9 OHL centre already. He’s playing responsible on both ends and has been able to keep up with Noel, which not everyone can do

Interesting to see that former 5th rd pick of the Gens, Sullivan Sparkes, is at the Soo Greyhounds camp as an overager.

They're inviting a couple of non-OA in the OHL calibre guys to camp and hoping one sticks apparently. Saw they invited CJ Clarke after Mississauga released him too
