Can’t remember as poor of an effort in a game as the one they put forth tonight. They would’ve gotten blown out no matter who they played with that effort. There wasn’t a 2 minute span where they skated the entire game

If you like screaming, Gens practice tomorrow is where you’ll want to be!

What I don’t understand is why they took Gross off PP1

They have the 4th best powerplay in the league, and it’s obviously because of PP1 and they decide to take off Gross who’s been great and put on Vallati who has struggled big time? I don’t get that at all

they have the benefit of not really having to worry about that. The Petes for example can’t afford to lose games or they won’t be able to catch Ottawa. The Gens are almost locked in to 4th already. Won’t catch OTT/PBO and I don’t see them falling below 4th. They’re 8 points up on MISS and have played 2 less games as well. Although even if they did fall to 5th, they would still be in the same 4 vs 5 series and then playing 1 seed in round 2.

Because of this they can try new things and just need to make sure they’re firing going into playoffs. But the effort level tonight was unacceptable

So Generalsupdate what do u think is wrong? After watching this game.. looks like the whole team gave/never showed up. Given up on the coach? U think Tullio is given to much preferential treatment? Hes out there in just about every situation imaginable .. he works his ass off but dont think he should be used on the pk so much. Something nots right. Not here to fight bro just trying to figure this team out. I thought going into this season Serron would have been a beast.. never happened... thought there defence would be amongst the best in the OHL.. never happened. Go Gens Go. Cheers

Sorry Newbie dont agree with that synopsis.. Barrie just unloaded a boatload of talent and ran with three lines.. it runs much deeper than a team thats changing direction and a team that looks completely dysfunctional.. Brewer and Vallati has not scored yet this season and the defence as a whole has scored less than 15 goals. I know teams have bad games but the Gens as of late have had wat to many bad games and not good. They started the season 10 and 1 and have since have gone 12 -15- 3-2. May by there just not that good.

Felt bad for Kooy tonight. He absolutely stood on his head for the first half of the game but his team didn't show up. His stat line will end up looking bad (5 goals on 37 shots) but man was he good tonight, especially in that first period

That was a stinker! As I have said before, there is a problem with the system they are playing. This is a coaching issue that needs to be fixed. Last night, like most games in the past month, Barrie was allowed to walk into our end at will and set up as the defense backed in. Did anyone see a single body check thrown by either the defense or forwards in our end? I didn't! Bignall was in Kooy's face all night and was still standing. The Colts roamed at will in our end and we ran around chasing them for minutes on end. Yes the game has changed but successful teams still make the defensive zone a hostile environment. You come in and you will be hit! Remember the days of Brown, Petschening, Sullentrop, Desrocher and Mistele making life miserable for anyone who dared to enter their space? Walters needs to solve the problem now or Hunt and Tullio (Rocko) will!

Yes the feed from Barrie was terrible. At least they partially resolved the video issues but never did fix the sound. I tried to watch OHL Livestream and listen to Callum Ng but the TV feed was 1 - 2 minutes behind so it was pretty annoying. It suited what was happening on the ice.

They're -13 in the 1st period, +1 in the 2nd and +14 in the 3rd

They've scored first 18 times (12-3-3 when they do)
But have gotten scored against first 25 times (10-13-2 when that happens)
