I’m going to give this a second shot, I don’t like seeing 0 when standings are posted :)

Hard to guess what’s going to happen tonight because Kitchener is healthy again and they were prognosticated as one of the best teams in the league pre-season

I’ll go 4-3 KIT with Damiani getting the winner

They will be selling soon. Short term pain this year for hopes of Mem Cup next year.

Wasn't able to watch any of the game tonight. How bad was the Suni injury

Looked like a shoulder injury. He was woozy and the trainer was supporting his shoulder going off the ice. Was assisted by trainer and a teammate to the bench and helped down the tunnel.

Just saw the hit. That's a bad hit from Vukojevic. Suni wasn't even that close to the puck and blindsided him into the boards. How was that not a 5 on the ice for interference. Brutal

Wouldn't be surprised at all to see Vukojevic get suspended for that, especially since Suni looks like he might miss time

All four officials got together to converse after the hit. I thought they’d go to the ipad to determine 2min or 5 and the game. They never did go to the ipad.

For me, and I only saw it live, but it looked like Suni was injured because he went into the boards awkwardly. I sit at the other end and couldn’t see where the puck was so tough to tell if it was legal or not. I assume they gave a penalty because he hit Suni before they got to the puck.

They called it boarding, not interference which is an interesting call. Suni was completely not expecting the hit because he wasn't that near the puck yet.

Especially after they called Brewer for a double minor for his hit from behind, I'm very surprised Vukojevic only got a 2

Maybe 2 for interference and 2 for roughing/boarding. Suni also could have been called on the play since his stick caught Vuk but I see why it wasn’t called.

Would be absolutely shocked if there was a suspension on that play. Vukojevic awkwardly went into the boards too, looked like he almost toe picked into the hit. Only saw it live and there was no replay in the building.

I agree with you but we both know there will no suspension. It was a Kitchener player doing it to a General. If we had done it would have been 5 or 10 games. Remember the Muttard hit, which was worse than the Walker hit because of the elbow and injury to the player. Walker got 10 games and Muttard got zip!

lol Generals picked up Walker, he comes with a few suspensions throughout a season has nothing to do with being a General. Walkers like using an elastic.....that thing does a terrific job for a long time then you just know at some point its gonna snap

I don't think there should have been a call either way on that play. Both players were going in together racing for the puck. They banged shoulders and Vuk being stronger knocked his opponent over. Both got injured but the Oshawa player came out worse. Hopefully he recovers quickly.

Any word on either Suni or Ganier's injury? Both looked serious on the broadcast.

No word on Suni, although it didnt look good. Hopefully only a broken collar bone or separated shoulder and nothing Brassard's injury re: Nia playoffs 2 years ago.

Gagnier will be fine. "Puck to the mouth. Nothing a dentist cant fix" re: trusted source.

    :)

I assumed Jack Thompson wouldn't be available but Sudbury had him playing 3rd line winger tonight.... I'd be allllll over a Noel for Thompson trade if SBY would do that. He's going to be a stud

I'm pretty sure they've had at least one of their D take a shift at forward in recent games so I wouldn't read too much into it.

There are 3 OHL teams in the CHL top 10, and the Gens next 4 games are all against those 3 teams (vs PBO, vs GUE, @ PBO, vs OTT). Very tough stretch

Not going to happened, yesterday game Wolves are very short handed due to injuries and played him forward to start game, he returned back to D in the second period.

The fact they even for a second decided to play him as a forward is shocking to me and clearly they don’t value him as high as I assumed they would

If you follow the Wolves they are dressing 8 Defensemen, every D took turns playing forward. It came to Thompson turn, but you can tell he wasn't comfortable for him and they put him back on D. Don't look into like that, they are very high on Thompson, and at this time will never be included in a deal. It's not really shocking if you follow how Stillman has been coaching this season, don't read more into.

Having a D play forward is very common in the OHL because so many guys are out of the lineup for different reasons. Can't remember ever seeing a team use their best D-man as the guy who goes and plays depth forward when short. That is very bizarre

Doesn’t change the fact that I would say Thompson is untouchable, unless he forced the issue, which I don’t see the case.

Unless you're Rob Papineau, you never know. If you asked me a week ago will Thompson ever be used as a depth forward, I would've said definitely not. Weird things happen
