Not sure why he's singling out Philly - they certainly have a reputation, but just about every professional sports venue with alcohol could be considered as not kid friendly.

I've encountered quite a few different fanbases and I've found Philly to be among the least violent/rowdy. I don't know why they get shackled with that reputation.

A long-time Penguin/current Capital states something about a rival fan base that everyone knows already. Meh.

Not really surprising, Philly has had that reputation for awhile, those fans can get a little bit rowdy to the the away team/fans.

Yeah , pretty weak singling out a single rink. Besides is hearing profanities or seeing people drinking beer more harmful to children than seeing grown adults punching eachother in the face on the ice?

Wells Fargo Center has been relatively tame in the couple of times I've been there, but I don't go out of my to draw attention to myself in any other team's arena. Went to the Spectrum a couple of times as a kid. That was a different story altogether. A trip to the restroom at the Spectrum was a harrowing adventure.
