Hopefully we have at least 7 votes.

In fact, 7 votes would be simplest to reflect how many games it took (e.g., votes 4-3 shows a 7-game series, 4-0 a sweep). Though, most of the series are very competitive, so even if most voted for one team over another, one could imagine them going long, not a mismatch.

(Ideally, we'd have 12 votes.)

Yeah- that's about the way I saw it. Pittsburgh had enough Steinitzian "little advantages" all over the ice to have a measured advantage overall.

California defeat Hershey 4-3. Game 7 went to OT.
1st star: Plante.
2nd star: Lemieux.
3rd star: Lidström.
Surprised. I thought this should have gone the other way. I just didn't see a Lemieux-led team with their up-the-middle strength and proven scorers at RW to fall prey to a goalie-theft.

Richmond defeat the Unified Team 4-3.
1st star: Orr.
2nd star: Roy.
3rd star: Dryden.
I think Macho Man put together an upper-division team this year. Congratulations on a merited victory.

Quebec defeat Brampton 4-3.
1st star: Beliveau.
2nd star: Messier.
3rd star: Bourque.
Shouldn't have been this close, IMO.

I forgot about the format and that four teams are already eliminated, so the turnaround is actually not bad. Therefore I will now proceed to announce the results. The results are pretty unanimous anyway.
