I would like your opinions and observations on Maxim Lapierre (Mtl 2nd round 2003). What sort of career (if any) do you project him having in the nhl. Having never seen him play, I can only rely on what's been written of him; am I right in seeing similarities between him and Ottawa's Mike Fisher?

Thanks in advance.

I'm from Ch'town and have seen him play all year. He's been overshadowed
by Corey Urqhart and Michel Lambert but as the year progessed I believe
He was the rockets best player. However I wouldn't guarantee he will be
a regular in the NHL ,but if he continues to improve, he may be a good
3rd or 4th liner.

I saw him play all year as well and am looking forward to watching him continue his development next season when he won't be overshadowed by Urquhart or Lambert.. i'd expect him to produce close to 80 points next season and he should become a solid 3rd liner in the NHL someday

Fisher is a good comparison.

Next year should be a big one for him, and hopefully he'll continue to develop his offensive game, as he took some big steps in that area this year. I like his game though, hard working intense team player will drop the gloves at times and is good in all areas. Getting stronger physicall will only help his game.
