Makes sense. The Dome is booked that night (Roughnecks).

Just a little food for thought for you guys: it sounds like the Sharks are opening their season on the road in Calgary (on the 20th) as the lone Western team not to play on the 19th.

So, San Jose gets an "extra" day of training camp and plays against the Flames who are playing back-to-back after a short night of travel back from Edmonton.

Of course, this is all hearsay right now. Just coming in peace with some speculation!
