Make your case for why your team could use Nyquist.
Why your team would trade for Nyquist.
And then openly make Trade offers for Nyquist.
I will post my opinion of the best offer Below:

Best Offer so far debatable:

Dallas
Brett Ritchie
Lottery Protected 1st round pick (assuming Dallas near playoff position near deadline)

Previous Best Offers:
Arizona
Richard Panik
2nd Round Pick

Washington
Burakovsky
3rd Round Pick --> 2nd if Wsh Makes it to the Finals.

(Panik could additionally be flipped at the deadline if he plays well.)

Drake Caggiula, Matt Benning, and a conditional 2019 3rd round pick - condition, becomes a 2019 2nd round pick if he he-signs.

Reason: Need top six wingers.

Scherbak + Shaw + 3rd round pick 2019 from Montreal.

Reason: Could use more offense. This gives Scherbak a chance to finally succeed with an actual rebuilding team and Shaw to bring some feist.

Rental middle-6er? Shouldn't have much value.
I'll give you a 3rd rounder if some of our guys get injured.

No reason to trade him now. Nyquist retained to a desperate team will hold way more value at the deadline.

This is a joke, right?
OP asked for 2nd round pick. MTL's 2nd round pick is most likely a high one. Shaw contract needs to go the other way to take in Nyquist's contract. Could absorb 500k off of Shaw (so you get him at 3.4m). So no, not a joke.
