This was one of the best Sharks teams I've seen, especially when everyone is healthy, but it was predictable that they'd go out in round one because of goaltending. I hate Jones more than any other Shark ever. It's not enough that he was overrated as **** before this season even started and was average at the very best. Now this season he performs badly enough to cost them the first seed and they play Vegas instead of Colorado, now he kills them in this playoff series.

Guy is AIDS as a goalie. He's barely even a starting goaltender. Outside of someone that's really washed up and ready to retire like Mike Smith (and he might not even be worse) or someone like Koskinen or one of the few teams that don't have a starter and just have two backups, Jones has gotta be the worst starter in the league. Jimmy Howard would be an upgrade over this BUM.

The trade wasn't worth it for a first round pick and now the new contract is even worse.
Comparing Martin Jones to AIDS is inaccurate. There are actually effective treatments for AIDS and word is a cure could soon be at hand. There is no cure for Martin Jones being your goalie.

There is an amnesty buyout (hopefully) or two coming with the next CBA, if they dare push the salary cap back. That can cure Martin Jones from being the Sharks starting goalie in hopefully a year, maybe two.

But I thought the Sharks would be able to use that on Vlasic and his stupid extension.:help:

This Flames/Avs game is Great.

Mike Smith is actually resembling a good goaltender tonight, @Bleedred
I'm actually surprised by how bad Calgary has been defensively the last two games. They've been giving up A LOT of shots.

Playing in that mile high altitude, Colorado at home should have an advantage the deeper this goes.

Great game.
Calgary is around 4,000 ft in altitude so its is much much closer to Denver than other cities which makes it less of a difference maker.

Omfg this OT has been amazing

The whole game has been great. Colorado should have won in regulation by about 6-2 if not for Smith.

Calgary is overrated as hell, the fact they did so well is evidence of how meager the West is this season.

Smith is definitely a good postseason goalie. He always carries bad teams in the playoffs. He was even amazing the other night and he let in 6 to boot haha

Goals against review for tonight

Bruins vs Maple Leafs: 4 goals against Rask, 1 stoppable. 5 goals against Andersen, 1 stoppable.

Predators vs Stars: 4 goals against Rinne, 2 stoppable. 1 goal against Saros in relief, no chance. 1 goal against Bishop, no chance.

Flames vs Avalanche: 3 goals against Smith, no chance on any. 2 goals against Grubauer, 1 stoppable.

So that's 20 goals scored on goalies tonight, 5 are stoppable. That's 25% of the goals scored tonight were stoppable. Combined save percentages were .911%.
