So happy for St. Louis.

Also nice to see that ferret faced dirt bag Marchand get what he deserves. This is pure karma as to him. He’s a dirty player and I’m not usually happy to see people lose but in his case, yeah. His mistake on a bad line change with 7 seconds left led to that second and decisive goal. That was the back breaker with like 2 seconds left in the first period.

The better team won this series.

And how many times do you see it that a team opens a game with an overwhelming first period push but doesn’t score; and then the club that’s been playing rope a dope wins the game. The story of the last three games.

It's almost like Larry knows something about teaching defense.

He also knows something about Hopping.

Glad STL won simply because of Marchand, but also because they never won before.

But holy hell, was their defense TERRIBLE. An absolute turnover-fest tonight, but Boston couldn't capitalize. Binnington was absolutely outstanding!

Another thing is how much tougher a road St. Louis had to the finals than Boston. There was no Carolina on their menu. Winnipeg, Dallas, San Jose before Boston - no recent cup winner has had a tougher row to hoe to get there.

They really have had a great run. It’s extra nice nice to see them get rewarded.

Best playoffs in a while this year when you consider - I mean the Tampa upset, Colorado’s run, those late night OT games, the crazy major penalty in San Jose Vegas . . . good stuff for two and a half months.

The 2014 Kings would beg to differ...three straight seven-game wars (including 3-0 and 3-2 comebacks) against a 111-point Sharks team, a 116-point Kings team and a 107-point Blackhawks team all on the road just to get to the Finals.

of all things marchand has done -- this one is not worth ****ting on. it's tough to watch your team lose a cup let alone a top-line player on the team
I usually don't fault any player for getting emotional, but f*** him to hell.

I'd have sympathy for him (even being the scumbag he is) if he had never won a cup and was crying though.

Haven't been watching because I simply checked out this year but I definitely don't hate Boston as much as the rest of you but that's probably because I don't care about the NFL, MLB or NBA at all.

The schedule this year was absolutely stupid and the NBA finals finished before the NHL did which is even more stupid.

I've been ready for next season to start since December and I'm glad it's finally officially over.

LETS GO DEVILS & F*CK EVERYONE ELSE!!!

Not to mention Boston had to go through a very, very good Toronto team (threw up in my mouth a bit) and a talented Columbus team who was flying sky high.

It's an unfair assessment all around.

The difference in the quality of those teams isn't as great as you're making them out to be.

Toronto - 100 points
Columbus - 99 points
Carolina - 99 points

Dallas - 93 points
Winnipeg - 99 points
San Jose - 101 points

So we can all agree that Jason Botteril is now officially on the Ed Johnson/Milbury/Chia level as a historically terrible GM right?

Was Berube fired by Philly or did they just not renew him?
Not sure if his contract was up or not anyway, but he was definitely fired after they missed the playoffs with him in 2015, right before they hired Hakstol.

Final goals against review of the season. Feels like a milestone, as I've done one for every single night there's been games played in the regular season and playoffs. Last one for the next 16 weeks or so.

Blues vs Bruins: 1 goal against Binnington, no chance. 4 goals against Rask, no chance on any. I thought the goal on Binnington was borderline. It wasn't a one timer, but (I can't spell his name) didn't even have the puck for a second before he unloaded it, so I can't nail him on that. I don't think Rask literally could have done anything on any of those 4 goals tonight.

So that's 5 goals scored against goalies tonight, 0 were stoppable. That's exactly 0% of the goals scored tonight were stoppable. Combined save percentages were .906%.
