Terrible offers. 4th round pick for Vanecek? We chose him in the 2nd round and he is progressing well.

I don't mind if Seattle picks him. Expansion draft hurts everyone. But did you forget that there is also value in the fact that we would get to keep guys like Eller/Dillon in that case?

Eller was acquired with 2 2nd round picks. Dillon was acquired for 2nd and 3rd round picks and he was a pending UFA at the time. He has term left now.

Given that they obviously value each of those guys highly, you would need to offer hell of a lot more than 4th round pick to get him. Otherwise it's pointless for the Capitals to trade him AND lose another guy.
