"And wearing number 7, your Ottawa Senators Captain, Brady Tkachuk!!!"

If its a long term deal then it should be chucky for captain. If it isnt a long term deal then i would be slightly hesitant. I still think on a short term deal it should be chucky for C but I would fully understand giving it to someone else.

I think he’s a good A but Chucky has demonstrated leadership at another level.

The letter does mean something though. The buck always stops with the captain in the media.

They become the face of the franchise and main voice of the team to the public.

It seems like a lot of added responsibility and takes a certain personality to do it well and handle it well when times are tough.

Guys in the room know who the leaders are, and there looks to be lots of support, but the guy with the C has a huge role to play beyond on ice play.
