Gibbons scored a bunch early and then basically did nothing offensively the last ~35 games. He was still pretty good on the PK though.

Wood is insanely fast. Loved that he's way behind the guy but he's pointing and yelling at Severson to take the other man because Wood knows he's catching up.

Or a forward needed to bring him a stick from the bench. A player may carry 2 sticks if he is taking a stick to the goalie.

It looked to me like the defenseman was pausing behind the net to allow a forward to do that but none of them went to the bench.

The skater can definitely handle 2 sticks. The rule is unclear if a new one can be received from the bench. It is clear that the goalie can’t go to the bench for the new stick.

I don't disagree. But we were talking about other backups who had good stretches when given the opportunity due to injury, and his 08-09 season fits that mold.
